Archaeology Museum of Catalonia (MAC)

The Ruins of Empúries are an archaeological site where you can visit the remains of two towns: one Greek and one Roman. They were the first settlements and thus a gateway for these civilizations to the Iberian Peninsula.

Sant Martí d'Empúries

Es tracta d’un veïnat depenent de l’Escala, conservat com a poble medieval. Temps enrere havia estat una península i va acollir els primers habitants a partir del segle IX aC. Tres segles després, va establir relacions comercials amb fenicis, púnics i foceus massaliotes, que va ser l’inici de les negociacions que van fer d’Empúries un dels ports més importants de la Mediterrània Des de llavors, Sant Martí d’Empúries ha estat sempre habitat de forma continuada.
Anchovy and Salt Museum (MASLE)

Located in the old slaughterhouse (a building dating back to 1913), the Anchovy and Salt Museum is the most emblematic building in the history of L'Escala.
