L'Escala Council organizes a large number of sports competitions tailored to different groups and ages throughout the year.
Sporting competitions
Children's marathon Empúries Marathon is one of the town's biggest sporting events of the year. The Sports Board wants to involve children in this great sporting occasion and, to that aim, it organizes a children's race on the previous evening to the Empúries Marathon.
The circuit is attractive and mostly flat, running along Empúries Seaside path.
Mediterranean International Cup (MIC)
The aim of this tournament is to give young people from anywhere in the world the chance to mix and compete in the best clubs and teams in World football.
