Anchovy Festival and the Anchovy Tapa Trail

Description

This festival starts with an opening speech by a celebrity connected to the world of food or fishing; a presentation of the Golden Anchovy to a person or organization that has promoted the L’Escala’s anchovies over the previous year and a Habaneras concert by the beach.

During the fair and the days after, there is the highly popular Anchovy Tapa Trail. Dozens of local bars and restaurants offer specially created tapas with an anchovy as the star ingredient, and you can have a “tapa route passport” stamped at each place you go to, so that provided you complete the whole route, you may enter a raffle to win some great prizes. This is an activity best enjoyed in a group, where everyone enjoys a unique gourmet experience.
